Mozambique Adventure Trip - Ocean Safari, Lodge & Beach Holiday

We start our Africa round trip in Maputo and make our first stop in Chidenguele. We arrive in the late afternoon and have time for a nice evening walk on the beach or a sundowner. Mozambique is known for its amazing beaches, which stretch along its 2,700 kilometer long coastline and are home to some of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in Africa. We continue our overland safari northwards. Our next stop is the coastal city of Vilanculos – with a colonial past, fine white sand, and turquoise waters. This region is one of the tourist highlights on Mozambique's coast. Moreover, the city is known for its fine white sand and clear turquoise water, inviting swimming in the sea and chilling on the beach. The waters off Vilanculos are also known for their diversity of marine life, including colorful corals, tropical fish, dolphins, and turtles, making the area a popular destination for snorkelers and divers. In the morning we take a sailing trip aboard a traditional dhow and use the day to explore the island of Magaruque, snorkel, and enjoy the beaches of this island paradise. The island, apart from its natural beauty, is also known for the observation of numerous bird species and its cultural heritage. Keep the sunscreen ready, as today is full of sun, sea, and new incredible discoveries. Enjoy the tranquility, the untouched atmosphere, and the impressive nature of the Mozambican coast. Our adventure trip through Africa continues along the coast to the south, passing many villages and plantations with coconuts, cashews, and sugarcane. Inhambane is a historical city with a colonial past. The cultural diversity of the city dates back to its early settlements, and the city's history is also shaped by the slave trade and the resistance of the local population against the slave trade. Rustling palms and tranquil beaches make Inhambane even more incredible.

Now we have the opportunity to relax during two beach days and enjoy the ocean water. Our adventurous travelers have the chance to quench their thirst for adventure with a variety of optional activities that can be booked on-site. The reefs of this coastal section invite swimming, snorkeling, and diving - typical for sustainable tourism with an adventure character.

Today we start the day with a short trip to the well-known coastal village of Tofo and spend the day exploring and enjoying another famous beach destination in Mozambique. With safe swimming, a cool city market, and many popular beach bars, Tofo is perfect for a day trip. Here, in addition to enjoying the tranquility, there is also the opportunity to observe manta rays and whale sharks.

We spend the night in Maputo and leave the beaches of the Indian Ocean behind us. Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, is a truly amazing city rich in history, culture, and vibrant life. The city is known for its diverse mix of cultures and its varied architecture. In Maputo, you also experience the diverse cuisine of Mozambique, with a range of offerings for every taste.

After breakfast, your Africa safari ends with many unforgettable memories in mind and amazing pictures on your phone. You say goodbye to your fellow travelers, and your round trip comes to an end.
